CEO of Deloitte Türkiye, Hüseyin Gürer, as making the opening speech of the meeting, said, “The main reason of being disregarded of the insurance sector is, apart from the economic reasons, considering as a sector under the banking sector for long years.” As mentioning the problem of profitability in the insurance sector, Güler pointed that the pricing strategy underlies that stalemate.
Specialized Court of Insurance will set in at the end of the year
After the opening speech of CEO of Deloitte Türkiye, Hüseyin Gürer, The Insurance General Manager of Undersecretariat of Treasury, Dr. Ahmet Genç, said, “The insurance sector shouldn’t be evaluated in a pessimistic perspective. We are making ameliorations and they will continue. As one of these, we have made law amendments for the Specialized Court of Insurance and it will set in at the end of the year to make the transactions in a shorter time. And we also making the arrangements over the covers until 2018 and this will help to the insurance sector.”
On the other hand, the former General Manager of Anadolu Sigorta, Mustafa Su, said, “While the quality of service is such great, we should sell more policies. Not selling enough policy is one of the main reasons of the profitability.”
