Starting in second half of the last year decline continues in growth rate of the Turkish insurance industry.
According to the recent published data of Türkiye Sigorta Birliği (TSB) industry has grown 6.18 percent in the first two months of this year compared to the same period of last year. When adjust from 7.9 percent annual inflation ( Feb 2013 – Feb 2014 CPI rate) industry decreased 1.59 percent in reel. Non-life sector grew 11.10 percent at the January-February period while life branch was decreasing 21.23 percent. Within non-life branches auto insurance has approximately 35 percent of premium production rate, motor insurance has grown 0.71 percent in first two months, traffic insurance has grown 12.09 percent as well. Anadolu Sigorta has taken on the top in non-life sector with its 8.45 percent growth and 517 million TL premium production. Axa Sigorta is hard on the heels of Anadolu Sigorta with 5.59 percent increment and 472.6 million Premium production. In the industry Anadolu Sigorta own 12.17 percent share. Furthermore Axa Sigorta own 11.12 percent share as well.
