Yapı Kredi Portföy has organized the fourth ‘Macroeconomic Expectations Conference 2014’. General Manager of Yapı Kredi Portföy, Emir Alpay, said, they are working on new products for 2014 in the direction of the highest rate that they achieved in the category of portfolio management. At the conference, Global Head Economist of UniCredit, Erik F. Nielsen also shared his expectations and foresights related to 2014. Nielsen indicated, “The global crisis has entered a stable and positive process and the global economy will grow 2.5 percent in 2014.” Alpay, stated, “The turnaround started in the global economy will be experienced gradually. In this normalization process, there may be some fluctuations in the financial markets. The markets focus on the signals that will come from FED. When these signals come, the investors will decide which country they will put into their basket.” Alpay, as warning that the investments must be considered as long-termed, he added, “It is especially needed for the assets distribution.”
As mentioning about the goals of Yapı Kredi Portföy in 2014, Alpay said, “We are honored to say that, Yapı Kredi Portföy is the only corporation that has the highest rank in portfolio management ‘Highest Standards’. Currently, we are managing a portfolio of 10.6 bn TL and i can say that we are working on new projects for our customers.”
“We are en route of global economic recovery”
Giving a presentation under the title of ‘Normalization: The Financial Inconveniences at the Recovery of Global Economy’, Nielsen, mentioned to the expected developments in the global markets in 2014. Nielsen said, “The financial crisis is at the recovery point in terms of main problems and we are on the way of recovery. But, we think that recovery will be slower in Europe. The global economy will grow about 2.5 percent in 2014 and unfortunately, in the near future, we foresee that there will be some though difficulties in the monetary policies.”
