Insurance sector has been affected positively by the economic progress and grew 24.79 percent in the first nine months period of 2013. According to the statistics of the Insurance Association of Turkey (TSB), in the first nine months term, as the non-life insurance sector increased 24.84 percent, the growth rate in the life insurance segment occurred as 29.39 percent. In the given period, as increasing the number of the insured persons by 66.6 percent and the number of the policies 10.7 percent, compared to the previous period, it is clear that the insurance sector grew in terms of the prices as also the numbers of the insured persons. Axa Sigorta, with an increase of 32.96 percent compared to the first nine month period of last year, which has a premium production level of 2.7 billion TL, is in the leading position. Axa is followed by Anadolu Sigorta with an increase of 16.62 percent, having a premium production level of 1.9 billion TL and Allianz Sigorta with an increase of 47.3 percent having a premium production level of 1.4 billion TL. In the non-life insurance segment, Axa has the market share percentage of 14.86 and it is followed by Anadolu Sigorta as having 12.59 percent market share and Allianz as having 9.73 percent.
